Scheduling: Expected to work every other weekend, every other holiday where applicable.
Block booking and Schedule patterns are based on department needs.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments performed on the unit: repare exam area. Sterile technique. Assist MD with procedures. Passing supplies. Filming case. Transporting patients. Vascular procedures, Neuro vascular procedures, biopsies, drain, lines.
Required Skills/Experience:
Assists physicians with arteriograms and or other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique in diagnosis and treatment of patients. In doing so, prepares examination area, positions patients for procedures and operates complex radiology equipment in accordance with established techniques and routines. Assists physicians as necessary by passing materials, taking exposures as directed and more. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Prefer 2 years of either IR or Cath Lab experience.
Shift & Scheduling: M-F varied shift between 0730/0830-1600/1800. Call requirement during the work week, weekends and holidays. 8-9 call shifts per 6 weeks. Yes would work alone with an RN.
Unit Details: 3-5 day orientation with another RTR and 1 day EPIC training.
