Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: Pneumonia, respiratory conditions that may include isolation (TB, FLU, COVID-19), COPD, CHF, Hypertensive emergencies, Endocrine disorders, Chron's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Acute Pancreatitis, GERD, Urinary Tract Infections, Sepsis, Hepatitis, Chronic Kidney Disease, Acute Kidney Injury, Stroke, TIA, neurological conditions, hematological conditions, electrolyte imbalances, and Autoimmune disorders. Nurses will be expected to provide care for those requiring special isolation precautions.

Unit/Facility Details: Total Staffed Beds: 402. General Medicine/Telemetry (C6-1) MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's 16-bed General Medicine/Telemetry Unit cares for adult patients with complex, wide-ranging, multisystem diagnoses, including those needing continuous pulse oximetry and telemetry. This unit can accommodate patients that may require close observation, it typically blends general medicine care and other specialized disciplines to provide comprehensive care to patients. Nurses will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to manage the overall care of the patient. Special Requests: Willing to work Thanksgiving holiday. No RTO.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend, 6 weekend shifts.
Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
