Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.
Experience with Epic is required from last 12 months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Hawaii license

ACLS (Required)
PALS (Preferred)
TNCC (Preferred)
ENPC (Preferred)
Vaccinations

Additional Details:

  • Shift & Scheduling:
  • First day of work/orientation will be on Saturday 9/20.

Equipment Used on Unit: Pyxis; wound vac; chest tubes.

Floating Requirements: Travelers (Med/Surg) will be assigned a primary unit, and will be trained and expected to float other Med/Surg units - Medical, Surgical/Peds, and TCU if needed.

  • Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
  • Transitional Care 1:6
  • Surgical/Peds 1:6
  • Ratio may vary due to unexpected leaves

Preferred Credentials: Procedural Sedation

  • Required Credentials:
  • Clearance documentation will be due two weeks before assignment start. Incomplete documents will result in cancellation. Clearance appointment needs to be completed on Thursday (9/18) - recommended or Friday (9/19).
  • References must be from the 2 most recent places of employment.
