Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required from last 3 years.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
12 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience is required from any number of months.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from any number of months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

70% Adults 30% Peds

No block scheduling requests.

TNCC or ATCN or TACR etc. (advanced trauma cert)

Required Skills: Trauma level 1, Pediatrics & Adult care, Central line care/management, IV vasopressors, Care of Ventilated patients, Chest tube management, Malignant Hyperthermia Protocols.

Preferred Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience

Weekend requirement: varied – discussed during interview

On-Call requirement: 4-6 call shifts per 6-week schedule. Will be further discussed during interview

Min Years of Exp: 1 year PICU OR ICU and 1 year of phase 1 experience in a mixed peds/adult PACU at a level 1 trauma hospital. Could also be RN with a mix of PEDs and Adult PACU experience but they must have both in work history.

Traveler must understand that since this facility has a Peds ICU and Peds Burn unit, they must be prepared to care for peds patients on a as needed basis. Amount of peds can fluctuate on a weekly basis.

First-Timer OK: No – would possibly consider if candidate meets all requirements and has very strong experience
