Travel Nurse (RN) - PCU Float Pool

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must have 2 years of PCU/IMC experience.

• Must be comfortable titrating & managing cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, & heparin.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Prior Neuro Experience

Unit/Facility Details:

• No Home Base Facility

• References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule.

• Schedule is made out by leadership for 6wks at a time, travelers are expected to be flexible and help to fill gaps in permanent scheduling.

• Holiday Requirements May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation.

• Call / Standby Requirement: Rare, for low census.

Floating Requirements:

• Must float within Zone 1: Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, St. Thomas More.

• Travelers are expected to float throughout the zone they are hired into. Each zone covers a 60 mile radius from the zone's city center which is where the 60 mile verbiage comes into play. The traveler is responsible for obtaining housing that makes this feasible as the requirement to float throughout the full 60 mile zone applies regardless of where the traveler obtains housing.

• Will float in multiple unit PCU/IMC units that cover various specialties including: General, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, ED Obs, etc.

• May be asked to float into any other acuity level; ICU (take low acuity holds with skillset), PCU/Stepdown, & MS-Tele.

• You will receive a float assignment to clarify where you are working for each schedule (varies by schedule). Your first float assignment will be communicated on or before your Monday start date.
