Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years with peds in any setting

Preferred Skills/Experience: A couple years of experience with pediatric patients and sensory integration preferred. Preferred experience with therapeutic milieu and running groups necessary, as well.

Roles requiring state licensure only: License should not expire within 45 days following start date

Unit/Facility Details:

Free parking on hospital campus

Psychiatric Hospital providing inpatient and outpatient care

Special Requests: Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying.

Shift & Scheduling:

Usually 8 hours/day for a 40 hour work week, but the shift time can be variable depending up on staff and patient needs

Shift times have some variability depending upon unit needs. If patients are awake and ready to participate in treatment, can start as early as 6:30, otherwise start time is by 8:00 AM. End time is approximately 8 hours after

Weekend rotations are possibility. If working weekend, usually will be 6 hour days instead of 8h days

We do work holidays, but with reduced staffing typically. Fairly distribute holidays amongst staff. Approval for time off should come to manager

Floating Requirements: Primarily on inpatient tween unit, but cross coverage to other units necessary at times to assist co-workers and cover vacations, etc.
