Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Hawaii license

Caring of patients pre op, phase I and phase II recovery

PACU nurses care for patients after surgery and must demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and carrying for patients in Phase I.

Require critical care skills to assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and track other indicators of stability or complications.

Past experience in critical care and surgical nursing is a plus

2+ years experience as a critical care RN (i.e., ER & ICU) in a hospital setting may be accepted substitute for PACU nurse experience.

Other specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific positions (i.e., NIHSS & TNCC)

Shift Information:

Hours worked per two-week period

Shifts vary between 8, 10 and 12 hours and can be Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekends/Holidays and vary between units ASU and PACU.

No guarantee of hours or shift preference.

On Call shift 0-3 times per month (8-hour night and 24-hour weekends/holidays)
