Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience within the past 12 months.

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Certifications

ACLS (Required)

CCRN (Preferred)

Additional Details:

Required Experience: Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

-Critical Care training

-2 years CVICU or CVRU experience

Preferred Skills/Experience: Certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery or Recovery Room care

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:

· IABP

· IMPELLA

· Hemodynamics

· Frequent ambulation of patients

· Pulling Chest TUBES

· Pulling Pacer wires

· LVADS care (supported by team)

· Intubation/Extubation

Unit/Facility Details:

-Ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 ratio depending on acuity. Hold over downgraded patients may be 1:3.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other Weekend

Floating Requirements:

-All ICUS and Stepdown

-Where needed to other units also
