Additional Details:
Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits
Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Weekends as schedule
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Med/Surg (some pediatric however the travel nurses aren’t expected to care for the pediatric patients unless they would have that prior experience)
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Basic med/surg nursing. Covid patients.
RNs required to titrate drips
RNs read strips. The monitor techs are in a central cockpit.
Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other. We try to accommodate those who prefer to work every weekend.
Holiday Requirement: Everyone is expected to share coverage of the Holidays.
Is there a call or standby requirement?: Occasional call.
Floating Requirements: Yes, this unit does float to other med/surg units.
Scrub Color/Dress Code: We do have a dress code, but not a specific scrub color.
Unit/Department specific orientation: Yes. One skills day and 3 days on the unit.
