Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Required Skills and Experience: Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit and all RN units. 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and the candidate needs solid PCU foundation for success in role in blended unit. There will be occasional ICU/PCU patients on this unit. RN will be required to care for all acuity types. IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Care of Ventilated Patient, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Isolation Precautions, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown

Preferred Skills and Experience: Charge experience preferred. Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy care/management, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Renal failure, Total Joint Replacements

Required Credentials: Lab and DS appt must be completed within 48 hours of signing. Current Driver's License or Government issued photo ID required.

Shift & Scheduling Requirements: Facility will accept either 3x12’s or 4x12’s. 36 or 48HPW, 12hr Nights 1830-0700. Call required as needed. EOW.

Special Request Requirements: Holiday RTO is not accepted - System policy is that every other holiday is required - Staff will not have to work every day of the holiday
