Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established, however this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance, so clinicians is aware of what location they'll be reporting to.

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Shift: Varying start times: 3p, 5p, 7p; Min 4 weekend shifts per sched; first to float; must work 2 of 3 holidays. Start times vary depending on shift (traveler needs to be flexible to work ALL shifts listed - this is mandatory, no exceptions)

Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, through UNA, only (with 2 MAX attempts).

PASS/FAIL Sim Lab on day 1 of orientation. If they fail, they will be made a DNU for 6 months.

Certs: ATCN or TNCC, PALS or ENPC required. Moderate conscious sedation competency testing.

Scrub Color: Navy

Floating: Float between Gilbert and Chandler ER (7 miles/15 minutes apart), possibly mid-shifts

Floor specific orientation: 2-3 days on floor.

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trauma, MVAs, GSW, blunt trauma, piercing trauma, CVA (Stroke center), MI (CP center), high risk OB (have a separate entrance, Psych holds (4-6 per day) until transferred out, cardioversions, conscious sedation for closed fractures. 11% Peds population,. Only admit 15 or > any younger than 15 are stabilized and transferred.

No Block Scheduling.

Must have unit/specialty experience in the past 6 months.
