Travel Nurse (RN) - Neurologic Intensive Care Unit

OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is Oklahoma’s only Level I Trauma Center. Clinicians should have strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or be willing to work with difficult cases. Travelers will be first to float.

Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.

Fast paced Neuro ICU at Comprehensive Stroke Center; Every other weekend required and holidays per policy.

Unit has various levels of acuity, 1:2 ratios for ICU status, and 1:1 for post thrombectomy patients or extremely unstable patients.

A lot of EVD’s and drains on the unit.

Patient population primarily consists of Strokes (Ischemic and Hemorrhagic), and post operative Neurosurgical patients.

They have a variety of other Neuro diagnoses such as CNS infections, they just make up a much smaller portion of patients.
