Travel Nurse (RN) - Neurologic Intensive Care Unit

RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

Required Skills/Experience: Skills: Respiratory/Thoracic: Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management. Medications: Continuous IV sedation, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips. Neurological: CVA/Acute Stroke management, Post Neurosurgery management. Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Other: Phlebotomy, IV therapy, Starting and maintaining IVs.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience. Skills: Neurological (ICP monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury).

Required Credentials: Will need to pass Relias EKG exam. Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID card. Cert: NIH only accepted through AHA, Apex, or NIHSS websites.

Preferred Credentials: Will complete 10 hours of stroke education total (NIHSS can satisfy 3 hours of the 10 hours of stroke education if taken in the year, New provider or renewal ACLS provides points if taken in the year) - will complete during orientation.

Pull a parking ticket and take with you. Barnes does not validate or reimburse for the charge. Wear scrubs. If you are working a straight night shift: If you are working straight night shift, there is no charge for parking, and you may park in the employee parking (you will receive parking information during orientation). If you will be working a day/night rotation: you will have to obtain a parking pass for which there is a $70.00 fee per month. The garage that you will be parking in will be Clayton/Taylor Ave location. Bring your license plate number with you on your first day.

Special Requests: RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review. No RTO the first week of an assignment.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No on call.

Floating Requirements: Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals near by.
