Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: No EKG Exam

Required Skills/Experience: Level III NICU experience required

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience circulating and scrubbing deliveries (strongly preferred) Recent OB, ED or critical care experience

Floating Requirements: Floating within New Life Center or to other NICUs in Richmond possible

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend/major holiday required

Unit Details: Memorial Unit Size: 9 beds

Types of Patients on Unit: Patient Population: Early and late pre-term infants, High risk low birth weight babies

Equipment Used on Unit: Lines/Drains/Devices: Peripheral IV’s, Umbilical lines, NG/OG tubes, Syringe pumps

Ratios are never guaranteed but what the unit attempts to achieve with normal staffing. Ratios are subject to change based on staffing.
