Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience within the past 4 years.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Min 2 years PEDS experience on a general floor or higher level of care.
  • Able/willing to care for adult overflow on occasion.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Spinal taps, bone marrows, I&D wounds, complex dressing changes and wound care, transfusions, IVs, and NG’s. Assist physician with other procedures.

Types of Patients on Unit: Medical, ortho, surgical, oncology, behavioral health and rehab patients.

Unit Details:

  • 4 beds but do increase with overflow.
  • Take care of patient 0-18. Rare adult overflow. Blended unit and take all diagnosis.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday.

Floating Requirements: To NICU and PEDS ARU.
