Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

6 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 10 months of Cardiac Transitional Care Unit experience.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience:

• RN will need experience with high acuity patients.

• 2 years Cardiac open heart recovery experience. Strong Surgical IMC experience.

• ICU experience required for management of High Acuity IMC patients.

• Looking for RNs with experience taking care of patients who are 1+ days out from CABG, Valve repairs and Valve replacements, very heavy Cardiovascular Post-op step down.

• These clinicians specialize in caring for patients with Mechanical Circulatory Support devices like LVADs, as well as patients recovering from heart and lung transplants.

Unit/Facility Details: CVPCU is a fast-paced surgical step-down unit made up of a multidisciplinary team who primarily cares for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries. Ratios are typically 1:3 during the day and 1:4 at night.
