All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED.
ED does Foley catheter insertion but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change.
Types of Patients on Unit: Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trauma, Burns and Peds transferred out. CP Center, Spinal Cord TBIN certification.
Unit/Facility Details: # beds: Acute - 36 and Subacute - 54. Trauma bays - 6 (no travelers)

30-40 psych holds.
Special Requests: No block scheduling.
Travel Teams must have their own vehicles
Shift & Scheduling: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks
Floating Requirements: ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established, however this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance, so clinicians is aware of what location they'll be reporting to.
Can be float between St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and the 2 Free Standing ERs in Litchfield Park & Glendale. (4 facilities total)**** about 30 mins apart, can be floated midshift
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
