Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience.

ADN completion required

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a New York license

Clinicians must start assignments within 30 days of receiving an offer.

Individual Professional Liability coverage is mandatory for assignment duration (Only individual malpractice insurance is accepted by the facility).

Required Skills/Experience: Two (2) years of Maternal and Child experience. -Two (2) years of IV insertion and Phlebotomy experience. -Two (2) years of Conscious Sedation experience. Nurse Preceptor position 5 years of relevant experience

Required Credentials: Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program. NYSED. Must have NYS Nursing License Registration and NYS Copy of Physical License/Diploma for submission.

Unit/Facility Details: May Precept up to 2 nurses At orientation RNs will be assigned to this Preceptor, they will be responsible for teaching different concepts to incoming RNs, shield them from making errors on the floor, they will report to a Nurse ED onsite.

Special Requests: All time off and special requests should be discussed directly with managers upon arrival (no pre-approval).

Overtime not allowed at NYCHH facilities (requires written manager approval in rare cases).
