Required Skills / Experience: Will accept a first-time traveler. Minimum of 18 months experience in MedSurg and/or ICU with EPIC or Cerner experience. If strictly ICU experience, Cerner is required
Unit / Facility Details: Parking: Parking deck only 2nd through 4th levels
Special Requests: No RTO will be approved during the following dates: Christmas / New Year’s: 12/21 - 1/1
Shift & Scheduling: 36 / 48
Weekend Rotation: Every other or 4 weekend days per month
On-Call: No
Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy
Floating Requirement: Any like unit/patient location (MS-MS, MS-ICU task, MS-ER/MS holds; ICU-ICU, ICU-MS task or limit of 3, ICU-ER/ICU holds)
Will be assigned a home unit on the first day of orientation.
Trauma Surgical (Patient Ratio - 1/5-6): Skills required: At least 1 year of trauma/surgical experience. Wound care, chest tubes, NGT, IV skills, medication administration/documentation and escalations
Neuro Science (Patient Ratio: 1/5-6): Skills required: IV start, blood draws from central lines, trach care, PEG, NGT, Colostomy/Ostomy, Wound Care, Chest tube, Surgical Site Care, C-Collar, Abdominal Binders, Restraints
MS/Oncology (Patient Ratio: 1/6): Skills required: Trach care, chest tubes, PEG tubes, wound care, drains, foleys, IV starts; Chemo administration, if certified. Chemo experience highly preferred
Clinical Decision Unit (Patient Ratio: 1/5-6): Skills required: Assessment, prioritization, communication and documentation skills
Orthopedics (Patient Ratio: 1/5, 6 if MS): Skills required: PCA pumps, wound care (negative pressure dressing), dressing changes, foley, drains (hemovacs/JP drains)
MS/Ortho/Urology (Patient Ratio: 1/5-6): Skills Required: Trach, wound care, wound vacs, IV starts, CVL dressing changes, follow nurse-driven foley protocol
