Requirements
Experience
Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.
Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Illinois license

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Ex- hyperbili, neuro, diabetes, failure to thrive, Cystic fibrosis, COVID, ortho.

Types of Patients on Unit: Medical/surgical

Unit/Facility Details: Beds - We share our unit with Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. We occupy 22 beds on the unit and Peds Hem/Onc occupies 10 beds. We have the ability to expand/swing into each units beds depending on census.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Call or a Standby requirement -Not mandatory at this time.

• Every other weekend. Nightshift weekend is Fri/Sat.

• Holidays are required unless discussed and approved during interview phase.

Floating requirements RNs can float within the children's hospital - to other pediatric units, can float to mom/baby to take care of a baby assignment. No ICUs unless experienced, no chemo patients.
