Additional Details:
Day/Evening, 12 hour shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required.
MS/Tele experience required
Telemetry oncology, cardiac and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience preferred.
Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to. This is a hard requirement.
Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
Work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients in an academic medical and Level 1 Trauma Center.
Must have experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital
Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred

Patient Diagnoses: Nurses on this 29-bed unit are skilled in providing comprehensive and specialized nursing care to the acutely ill adult patient who may present with multiple comorbidities, a variety of medical diagnoses, and hemodynamic instability. Specialty populations cared for on the unit include patients with a diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post lung transplant.

Orientation Schedule: UWH orientation is held every other week – typically on a Monday, but not all travelers will start on a Monday even if the contract has a Monday start. This is due to department specific orientation schedules. Travelers should follow the start date and time listed in their welcome letter and department schedule. Travelers will orient at 600 Highland Ave, room F8/170 (subject to change – traveler should follow instructions in welcome letter). Orientation is typically about one week. RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process. Generally, no more than 2 weeks off in a contract. If the request is more than 1 week and is consecutive (no hours in the week), Vaya will add 1 week at the end of the contract. Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required. Some units are stricter than others regarding holidays (ED allows for 1 holiday off).
