Previous Employment Requirements: Cannot have worked perm for Nationwide for at least 2 years.
Required Skills/Experience: Hard stop requirement- Must have 2 years, full-time experience in a large hospital PICU (strongly prefer level 1 pediatric trauma center).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Prefers close to 2 year's experience. Teaching Hospital Experience.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: All respiratory patients, traumas, pulmonary , complex patients, all clinical disease processes. Being able to care for all ages newborn to adult in the Pediatric ICU. Will care for long term trach vent patients.
Type of Patients on Unit: Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics.
Equipment Used on Unit: Special Equipment: Hard stop ventilator experience- must have experience with 1 of the 3 ventilators- 1. Hamilton G5 Vent 2. T1 Travel Vent 3. MRI ventilator affiliated with Hamilton. MUST also have exp with Respironics Trilogy, Respironics V60.
Special Requests: Facility is currently NOT able to approve 12/24 or 12/25 RTO requests. Those requesting 12/24 and/or 12/25 will be redirected.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Coverage: Every Other. Could be asked to work additional weekends- will be scheduled based on unit needs.
Float Requirements: Floating is a requirement for most positions and a point of emphasis for Nationwide, travelers must be prepared to float to different units depending on the assignment. CTICU, NICU, H8A (pulmonary), Core (general/ED).
