Additional Details:
A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.
Weekends: Every Other
Specialty: Level 2 ICU with Open Heart program, Cath lab, Neuro Surgery, Level II Trauma center, and CRRT programs.
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
Call Requirements: No schedules call, but maybe put on call if census drops in unit.
Float Requirements: must be willing to float.
Additional Notes: Floating is done on a rotation with the travel nurses.
Must Have Skills/Experience: experience with vented ICU patients.
Preferred Skillset/Experience: CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, pediatric DKA.
Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Post-open heart, heart failure, resp failure, Trauma, Surgical ICU, post stroke with lytics, post crani, Septic Shock.
