Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Emergency Department experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
24 months of Trauma Level 3 facility is required from the last 3 years
Experience with Epic is required from last 2 years.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Block scheduling can not be guaranteed.

If you require an interview with the manager, please make a note of it in your special requests.

36-hour guarantees only (no 48s) – can pick up additional shifts

Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.

Travel pairs cannot request the same schedule

Cannot have an employment gap in the past 4+ months.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Start Dates are not flexible.

Trauma Level: Level 3 trauma, STEMI and Stroke receiving- will ship out if stroke intervention required.

Must have at least two years ER experience with trauma Level I and II accumulative experience in the past three years. If only level III, or lower, cannot accept CLN

Ratios: 1:5 medical, 1:6 for fast track.

Weekend Requirement: 4 weekends shifts per 4 week block.

Holiday Requirement: Typically 2 of the 5 (count the eves).

Floating Requirement: Shared schedule with Foothills- typically scheduled ahead of time, infrequent last minute floating.15-minute drive to Foothills freestanding ER.

RN must read own tele, also have monitor tech as well.

No phlebotomy - ED techs will do labs or RNs can draw off IV starts.

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Any and all emergency needs.

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Number of shifts of unit/department specific orientation: One NEO, one day clinical/EPIC, one day on the floor.
