Requirements
Experience
48 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
24 months of Case Management experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
BSN completion required
3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license

If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

  • Patient Types:

  • Inpatient, adults, no peds. Will see ICU, PCU, MedSurg, and ER patients

  • If candidate has predominantly worked at children’s hospitals, they will not be a good fit for here.

  • Will not care for L&D or NICU

  • Skills required:

  • Acute care case management experience is a must

  • Healthcare financial and reimbursement knowledge

  • Will do post-discharge planning and provide resources for post-discharge. There is info for community resources that will be provided

  • ER and Utilization Review experience is preferred

Orientation: Could expect to have patient interventions on the first day but will be paired with another case manager RN

Weekend rotation: Every other

On call: No

Holiday Expectations: Will be required to work at least 1 holiday, can work more if wanted

Scrub Color: No scrubs; dress code is business casual

Breaks are required

Overtime: Must request if they need to stay late for patient care; this is subject to denial. There is the possibility of picking up extra shifts if wanted. Travelers are allowed to pick up shifts at other MHS facilities
