Experience
12 months of role experience is required from last 3 months.
24 months of Intermediate Care Unit experience is required from last 3 years.
License
Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Additional Details:

Shift: Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required.

Required:

MS/Tele experience

Telemetry oncology, cardiac and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience - Preferred

Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to.

Providing care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients

Have the opportunity to care for both general care and IMC level patients

Floating: Travelers are the first. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.

Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite

Other transportation options are available: bus, park & ride, private parking, etc

RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process

Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required

Orientation Schedule: UWH orientation is held every other week – typically on a Monday

Travelers will orient at 600 Highland Ave, room F8/170 (subject to change)

Orientation is typically about one week

A telemetry exam will be required prior to start.

Adult Exam:

100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole

No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks

Passing score of 80% or higher

Pediatric Exam

Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia

Passing score of 80% or higher

Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass
