Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Operating Room experience.

BSN completion preferred

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a District of Columbia license

Required Skills/Experience:

Neurology (ALIF, anterior cervical fusion, cervical fusions, craniotomy, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, XLIF), General Surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, laparoscopic assisted procedures, mastectomy, scrub general surgery, thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple), Orthopedic (closed reduction of fractures, open reduction of fractures, ortho/spine, spinal fusion, total joint replacement), Urology (cystoscopy), Ear/Nose/Throat (endoscopic sinus procedures, laparoscopic assisted cases, laryngectomy, mastoidectomy/tympanoplasty/stapedectomy, radical neck dissection, septoplasty/rhinoplasty, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy), Plastics (free flap – microvascular), Bariatrics (gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, lap band, laparoscopic assisted cases), Work Settings (General OR).

Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Unit/Facility Details: Unit Accepts 1st time Travelers with 2 years experience

Special Requests: No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.

Shift & Scheduling: On Call Requirements: 6 Calls per 6 week schedule

Weekend Requirement :1 weekend shift per 6 week schedule
