Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Cardiac Intensive Care Unit experience is required from the last 4 years.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license

MS Cardiac ICU

An interview may not be available prior to offer. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Annual Skills Checklist is required for submission and can't expire during the expected contract dates.

Previous Employment Requirements: Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

Required Credentials: Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: We do ICPs and occasional balloon pumps. TPA, balloon pump, recovery of crani

Types of Patients on Unit: Young adults through geriatrics, sepsis, STEMI, COVID, stroke, neurosurgery, renal failure, respiratory failure, COPD, cancer, DKA. Gaymar Hypothermia, Arrow Balloon Pump, Camino Neuro monitoring, CRRT, Impella, EVDs, Lumbar drains

Required Skills/Experience: RNs required to titrate drips. RNs required to read and interpret.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other Weekend. Holiday Requirements As needed

Floating Requirements: Mainly to PCU but can go to all areas in the hospital depending on abilities
