Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 10 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Illinois license

ACLS (Required)

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills / Experience: Med Surg, Post Op, or Stepdown experience

Clinicians must be comfortable caring for up to 5-7 patients

Surgical, post op surgical experience

Required Credentials: If IA license is not active, traveler must show proof of application for IA single state license or compact RN license as a part of compliance packet

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend

On Call Requirements: None

Limit of 1 day request off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Floating Requirement: May need to fill in as charge and/or precept new hires

The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
