Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 10 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Required Skills/Experience: Needs to have previous Cath Lab experience. Skills: Activated Clotting Time (ACT), Circulate Procedures, External Compression Devices (C-Clamp, Sandbags), Infection Prevention, Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions, Monitoring Procedural Sedation, Radiation and Laser Safety, Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale, Sheath Removal and Monitoring, Topical Hemostasis (D-Stat, Chito-Seal, Syvek Patch), Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose), Ventilator Management, Antiarrhythmics, Antihypertensives, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Reversal agents, Thrombolytics, Insertion/Programming of AICDs, Pacemaker Insertion, Tilt Table Study, ASD Closures, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella insertion, Interventional Catheterizations, Left heart catheterization, Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Right heart catheterization, Rotablator atherectomy, Valvuloplasty, Ventricular Assist Device Insertion, Watchman procedure, Assist with Central Line Insertion/management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath lab, Pre Post Procedure.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience. Teaching Hospital Experience. Skills: Arrhythmia Induction, Baseline Measurements, Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Mapping, Conduction Studies, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure, Scrub Procedures, Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR), Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures.

Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. LA City Fire Card. Cert: ACLS, BLS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation only. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID.

Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. Open to accommodating block schedule: Per manager discretion.

Shift & Scheduling: Call Required - 5 - 6 shifts every 2 weeks. Every other weekend- from Fri at 5:30pm until Mon 7AM. 1 day during the week. Example: On call Tuesday, on call Fri-Mon morning and then on call Wednesday. Is on-call Req: Yes, about 5-6 shifts every 2 weeks. 30 min response time.

Floating Requirements: Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
