Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience:

Skills: Med/Surg, CVA
Charge nurse experience.
Patient Ratio Experience: 1:5-6

Preferred Skills/Experience: Skills: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Blood Product Administration, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, Insulin, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Peritoneal dialysis.

Types of Patients on Unit:

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: Stroke/TIA, Pneumonia, DM, ESRD, Renal Failure, PE/DVT

Unit/Facility Details: 38 beds.

Special Requests: RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.

Shift & Scheduling: Call Req/Weekend REQ: Every other weekend and holidays as needed

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
