Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Psychiatric Unit experience within the past 12 months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license

Behavioral Health

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend

Floating Requirements: May be required to float within a 25 mile radius of the facility supervisor

Required Skills/Experience: A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

Required Credentials: ADN or BSN required

Types of Patients on Unit: Adult BHU 18-65

Types of Patients on Unit: Anxiety/Depression/Manic disorders/borderline personality/ suicidal ideation

Onboarding Requirements:

MUST have Iowa SING BG to clear (Criminal portion and Child Abuse portion required) - NO EXCEPTIONS
All BG checks (counties and states) must be fully cleared prior to start - NO INSTANT OR STATEWIDE SEARCHES ACCEPTED
Mandatory reporter cert required (Child and Adult)
Drug Test MUST be 10 panel screening including opiates.
Titers must be within last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
Will allow Monday or Tuesday starts.
