Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a New York license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

Vaccinations

Required Skills/Experience: MS/Tele, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Pacemakers/Temporary/Permanent, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac

Previous Charge Experience

Must be proficient in EPIC

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:

Patient Diagnoses: Complex care unit for Medicine, ortho overflow and complex long term patients

Unit/Facility Details:

Ratios: Need to be able to take a 1/5 to 1/7 patient ratio for MedSurg

Special Requests: Alert the account manager at time of submittal if traveler has any foreign education that will need to be verified

Proof if Identification: Drivers License/State ID

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend: Every other weekend
