Required Skills/Experience: All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

Required Skills:

Professional Knowledge and Skills: Circulate Procedures, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, Infection Prevention, Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions, Laser Assisted Procedures, Monitoring Procedural Sedation

Gastrointestinal Studies/Procedures: Liver Biopsy, Paracentesis

Vascular Studies/Procedures: Central Venous Access/Port Placement, Endovascular Interventions, Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography

Neurological Studies/Procedures: Carotid Angiography, Cerebral Angiography, Embolization, Neurologic Thrombolysis

Medications: Antiarrhythmics, Antihypertensives, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Reversal agents, Thrombolytics

Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures: Cardiac Stent Placement, IABP Placement/Removal, Interventional Catheterizations, Left heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Right heart catheterization, Rotablator atherectomy

IV Therapy: Blood Product Administration, IV infusion pumps, Starting and maintaining IVs

Work Settings: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Hybrid OR, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology

Preferred Skills:

Professional Knowledge and Skills: Activated Clotting Time (ACT), External Compression Devices (C-Clamp, Sandbags), Hypothermia protocols, Sheath Removal and Monitoring, Topical Hemostasis (D-Stat, Chito-Seal, Syvek Patch), Ventilator Management

Gastrointestinal Studies/Procedures: Angioplasty, Chemoembolization, Gastrostomy Tube Placement, TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt)

Vascular Studies/Procedures: Angioplasty, Carotid Stenting, Central Venous Access - Non-tunneled/PICC placement, Dialysis Graft Interventional

Neurological Studies/Procedures: Angioplasty, Stent placement, Vertebroplasty

Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures: ASD Closures, Impella insertion

Work Settings: Pediatric Diagnostic Cath Lab, Pediatric Interventional Cath Lab

Special Procedures – Genitourinary Studies/Procedures: Embolization, Nephrostomy, Renal Angiography, Renal Artery Stent Placement, Uterine Arterial Embolization

Electrophysiology Procedures: Pacemaker Insertion

Pulmonary Studies/Procedures: Pulmonary Angiography, Pulmonary Embolization

Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Unit/Facility Details:

Assignment Length: 13 or 26 Weeks - Clinician's choice

Parking is free.

Proof of Identification: Drivers License/State ID

Special Requests: Return Staff Policy: Permanent staff must be separated from Providence for a minimum of 3 months to return as a traveler.

Travelers can only work for a maximum of 1 calendar year in their assignment. Travelers are then required to take a minimum of a 6-month break before returning for another traveler assignment at the same facility.

Block Schedules: No

Shift & Scheduling:

On-call Required: Yes - 1 day per week and 4th/5th weekend (Friday at 1800-Monday at 0730)

Weekend Requirements: Yes - on call, and approximately 1 Saturday per month as part of the scheduled 4 shifts/week.

Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request

Floating Requirements: To EP or IR Lab within department
