Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

24 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

36 Hour Guarantee.

Weekend Requirements: 5 days out of six weeks.

Traveler will work CVICU, ICU, & MSICU (Med/Surg) - Required.

The unit is a medical ICU, Surgical ICU, CVICU and neuro ICU. In the event the helicopter cannot fly, we will care for pediatric patients in the unit. The unit is consists of two sections containing a 14-bed unit and a 12-bed unit. Patient’s placement is determined based on bed availability not by reason for admittance.

Staffing ratio in ICU is 1:2 with the occasional 1:3 for ICU patients. Low census may result in floating to CVCU, which is a 1:4 staffing, or to ED to care for hold patients with the same patient ratios.
