Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
Must have at least 36 months of Progressive Care Unit experience.
ADN completion required
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

- Minimum of 3 years PCU, ICU or Step Down Experience Required.
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Neurological/Psychiatric, Aneurysms and repair, Work Settings, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Respiratory, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management, Medications, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Gastrointestinal, Feeding tube care and management, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Cardiovascular, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Sheath Removal, TR Band, Genitourinary/Renal, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure.

- Previous Charge Experience.
- Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs, Craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Intracranial bleeds, Seizure disorders, Substance Withdrawal, Cardiac Telemetry, Telemetry, Care of Ventilated Patient, Epidural analgesia, Heparin Protocols, Thrombolytic Agents, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, Pacemakers/Temporary/Permanent, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery.
Preferred Credentials: PNCC, BSN Preferred.
Shift & Scheduling: Every Other Weekend Coverage; Minimum of 7 weekend shifts per 13 week contract.
Floating Requirements: In the case of low census, floating will be required.
