Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 12 months of Nurse Educator experience.

BSN completion preferred

Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a District of Columbia license

Clinical Education Specialist

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of educator experience required

Previous Charge Experience

Demonstrate effective teaching and presentation skills, Promote improvement in nursing education and practice, Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and students, Universal precautions, Workplace safety requirements, Emergency Department, Inpatient Acute Care, Triage, Vents.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience

VAD experience preferred

Assesses the educational needs and performance gaps, Facilitate personalized instruction to address individual learner needs, Promote experiential learning, Provide clinical supervision for learners.

Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Unit/Facility Details: May come into contact with Covid Patients

Special Requests: No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: Emergency only
