Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience.
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience: Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit and all RN units. Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory, Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management, Neurological/Psychiatric, Craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Gastrointestinal, Feeding tube care and management, Medications, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, PCA, Titrate Cardiac drips, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Endocrine/Metabolic, MS/Tele, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry, Orthopedics, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements*, Cardiovascular, Genitourinary/Renal, Plastics, Surgical drains, Bed Side Shift Reporting.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Skills: Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, Titrate Vasoactive drips, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, TR Band, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Skin grafts.

Required Credentials: BSSR Attestation. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID card.

Unit/Facility Details: Mixed acuity unit PCU/MS/Tele. Number of Beds: 29

Shift & Scheduling: 36 or 48HPW. Every other weekend. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: Candidates will float within the hospital as needed.
