Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required from last 3 months.

3 months of travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

12 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience is required from last 3 months.

ADN completion required

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36 - GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of orientation.

Facility will accommodate Blocked weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun) upon request.

Float Requirements: Float first to all inpatient units including critical care, NICU and Acute Care

On Call/Call-Back: No call

Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend (FRI/SAT/SUN) rotation and holiday if needed

Call-Off Policy: Client can terminate contract with 2 weeks’ notice if census dictates.

Must have previous PICU experience

Unit Specific Skillset: 44 bed Medical Surgical pediatric critical care unit caring for a variety of ages from neonate through young adult. RNs provide coordination and management of patient care and families.

Scrub Colors: Any professional scrubs. Jewelry (body piercing/body adornment): A single small stud is now permitted to be worn in the nose. No other visible body piercings (e.g. tongue, eyebrow, lips, and gauges) are acceptable (except ear piercings). Flesh colored or clear piercing plugs may now be worn.

Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where the unit is closed and orientation week.
