Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 12 months of Operating Room experience within the past 12 months.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Kansas license or compact license

Additional Details:

Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license from any point in the past.

Shift & Scheduling: 13-26 week contract

Schedule: Sat Sun Mon (Sat/Sun 0700 to 1930 mon 0630 to 1900) | On call schedule: could be up to: (2) 7-11s per month. (2) 7p-7as per month.

Holiday call is 1 working 1 call a year - usually 8 hours each.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have strong Neurosurgery experience

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:

Facility sees a lot of craniotomies and broken backs so the traveler must be confident handling emergency neurosurgery independently

RNs will be involved in a wide range of surgical cases, from routine to urgent and trauma procedures

Responsibilities will include both pre-operative and post-operative care.
