Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Emergency Department experience within the past 12 months.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Additional Details:

Designated Burn, Trauma, and Eye center for state of Maryland.

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years’ Current experience in Pediatric ER/Peds Psych.

Unit Details: 32 beds and 3 triage spaces: 2 rooms with 2 bed spaces, 3 psych beds (secure area), 2 negative pressure isolation rooms, 2 critical care rooms, 2 peds specific trauma bays, 1 eye room.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Every specialty of pediatric patient is seen in the Peds ED: Specialties seen: neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, hematology, endocrine, genetics, pulmonary, cardiac, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general pediatric surgery, general pediatrics, rheumatology, psychiatry, GI, urology, Burns, Trauma, Eye.

Types of Patients on Unit: Ages: Newly born to 21 years 364 days. Exceptions: -Young adults with pediatric oncology diagnose up to and including age 25 years -Psych patients up to age 18 -Trauma: pediatric trauma is age ≤ 14 yrs.
