Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Every Other Weekend
Must have experience in Level I or Level II Trauma center and have worked in hospitals with 300+ beds
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CRRT (prismaflex) rotaprone, TTM- Arctic Sun, mass transfusions, train of 4, frequently paralyze, Ecmo at times, 24 hour EEG monitoring, EVD, LP drain, Neuro surgery,MTP, traumas (drownings, tractor rollover, fractures, MVA), spinal injuries, sepsis, DKA, recover surgeries, COVID, Post heart cath- sometimes will pull sheaths, SI. Bedside procedures, trachs, CT insertion, bronchs, art line insertion, organ recovery (procurement only. no transplants done here)
Must have skills: Prefer experience pulling sheaths, CRRT highly preferred. Level 2 trauma experience or above.
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Precedex, pressors, anti arrhythmics, sedation, common ICU drips.
Will not guarantee block scheduling. Discuss with leader for any scheduling needs. Schedules out 6 weeks in advance.
Weekend Requirements Every other weekend. Sat. Sun for both shifts.
Holiday Requirements In the holiday rotation with core staff
Is there a call or standby requirement? NoneFloating Requirements Float as help alls. Floating doesn't happen often. May float to PCU/ CVICU and could take patients- mostly would be help alls.
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Black
Unit/Department specific orientation 1- 12 hour shift on shift of hire and unit of hire. First day is 12-14 hours to do comps, computer based modules, general orientation.
