Required Skills/Experience:
RN must have strong scrub and circulate skills; Experience in Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, General Surgery
2 years of recent acute care experience in the OR
Preferred Skills/Experience: Neurosurgery (crani and spine), Open Heart/Thoracic, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric and Gynecology
Required Credentials: Drivers License/State ID
Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: $2/day at Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC). A shuttle runs every 15 minutes between Stroger and JTDC

Block Scheduling: Cook does not approve block schedules or special requests. All time off must comply with the RTO policy.

No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends.
Shift & Scheduling:
Call Requirements: One 12 hour shift a month on a Saturday or Sunday, 7A-7P or 7P-7A. There is no week-day call.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend / 2 weekends per month
Floating Requirements: Cook has the ability to request that any clinician float outside of their “home” facility as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles. Travelers may receive notification to float 2 hours before their shift. If your clinician refuses to float, they will be subject to cancelation. There are no home units. Your clinician could be floated to a variety of units, including outside of their primary area of competency. If they are floated outside of their primary competency, the team-based model will be used.
