Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: RN responsibility to read strips.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Smaller hospital experience.

Types of Patients on Unit: Literally everything, traumas(in a recreational area) about 20/month: burns, car accidents, water rescue, general surgical, orthopedic injuries, OB patients, STEMI send outs, ERCP upper GI bleeds send out, life flight available if needed.

Unit Details:

• Trauma Level 4- Not STEMI receiving and not a stroke center.
• Beds/Trauma Bays: 7 beds, expanding this fall to 14. Staff: 3 RN with charge, 3 swings shifts 9,11,3 where someone else comes in.
• Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 for non-acute, 2:1 to resuscitations- depends on acuity.
• Travelers potentially can triage if have previous experience.

Special Requests: Try to accommodate blocks if that is desired we try to accommodate.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Requirements: Every other, filling in gaps.
• Holiday Requirements: Yes, work as scheduled.

Floating Requirements: Not required but desired- if have other experience working another unit and willing (rare), mostly have people floating to ER not ER floating around the house.
