Shift and scheduling:

Rotating shift: days/evenings/nights

Every 4-week period will have one week consisting of one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts in a 4-week schedule

May rotate within the same week, but they try not to do this; if they do, they will give a few days between rotation from days or evenings to nights

Every other weekend and holidays required

No call required

The shifts are a combination of 8 and 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights or day/evenings every other weekend

holiday coverage required

No blocked scheduling requests or specific days off, week over week, will be approved

Special Requirements

BILH coversheet required at time of submission

All RTO requests must be presented at time of submission

Floating requirements

Float pool position (15 medical surgical units – 600 bed facility)

Supporting 15 medical surgical units specializing in:

Neurology

Cardiac

Bariatric

General medicine

General surgery

GYN

GU

Hips and joints

Oncology

Transplant (liver and kidneys)

Vascular

Procedures/ Diagnostics/ Treatments performed on unit:

12 lead EKGs

Lasix gtt

Blood transfusions

Telemetry monitoring

Ventilator management: RT manages ventilators; RN responsible for administering nebulizers

Preferred skills/experience:

Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred

Previous Employment Requirements:

Travelers who have worked for Beth Israel Lahey Health as perm or per diem within the last six months will not be accepted

Must be separated from facility for six months to be considered
