Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Wound / Ostomy Care experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a California license

Outpatient Wound Care RN

An interview may not be available prior to offer.

Shift: Monday - Friday; Department is somewhat flexible.

Weekend Requirement: Closed on weekends

Holiday Requirement: Closed on holidays

What are the primary areas of hospital that they cover? Outpatient

Common diagnoses/Types of wounds Patients requiring wound care, wound vacs, consults, complicated dressing changes

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Wound care experience with cleaning wounds, dressing removal, wound vacs, new pt. consults, skin subs, and complicated dressing changes.

Wounddocs or Wound Expert EMR required

Required Certifications: Stoma placement - Any wound care certification is preferred - if no wound care cert, then need to ensure that the nurse has extensive wound care background as well as experience staging wounds.
