Requirements
Experience
18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Intermediate Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Illinois license

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Weekend Requirement: Will work weekends as needed for the department.

Call Requirement: None

Floating Requirement: Will float as needed (including to ICU). Floating is 100% required of all travelers - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by

Block schedule: Discuss schedule requests with manager.

Cardiac IMC or ICU exp.

Special Requirements:

-Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Obtain 12 lead EKG.

-Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention skills/experience required.

-Chronic/Acute Renal failure experience required.

-Required IV therapy skills/experience: Accessing ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.

-Required Medication Experience: Emergency medications, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips. CVA/Acute Stroke management experience required.

-Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills/Experience: Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management.

-Required Professional Topics and Skills: Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Code blue/rapid response. Will work on Rapid Response Team.

Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation

RTO – we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval.

Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer

Any Perm or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler

Lab appointment, Docusigns and Badge Photo must be completed within a minimum of 1 week signing the contract.
