Requirements

Experience

18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

36 months of Emergency Department experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Illinois license

ACLS (Required)

PALS (Required)

TNCC (Preferred)

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend.

RTO Restrictions: Discuss time off requests with manager.

Special Requirements: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi experience required.

Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response

Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG.

Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Starting IVs.

Required Medication Skills/Experience: Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration.

Required Neurological Case Skills/Experience: CVA. Required Pediatric Case

Skills/Experience: Abdominal Pain, Asthma, Identifying and reporting abuse, Infections, Mental/behavioral health conditions, Respiratory infections, Seizures, Urinary tract infections.

Required Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: Acute psychosis, Drug overdose, Managing violent behavior, Suicidal patient.

Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tube insertion/management, Ventilated patients.

Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Triage. Cerner experience required. Community Hospital Experience required.

Scrub Color: Any solid color scrubs.
