RNs only - Need at least a years worth of acute care experience within the past two years.
RNs only - One year of unit experience must be within the last two years
Maine Medical Center requires all candidates to have at least 1 year of Facility Trauma Level 1 experience to be considered.
• Weekend Hours: 36 (unless otherwise noted): Every to every other weekend
• Call Requirements: none
• Float Requirements: First to float, will float to other med/surg units as needed.
• Education Modules (will this be consistent for all similar skillset on unit or specific to this Position Request): Hospital onboarding modules (to be assigned on Day 1)
• Must Have Skills/Experience: strong cardiac telemetry
• Preferred Skillset:
Experience: cardiac surgery (CABG/valve replacement/post aortic dissection repair), thoracic surgery (VATS, wedge resection, lobectomy), comfort with chest tubes, temporary epicardial pacemakers. Post-TAVR patient.
Medical treatment Cardiology: Heart Failure, Pulmonary Hypertension. Familiar with Amio, insulin, dobutamine, nitro, milrinone, diltiazem
Surgical/trauma/tele
• Type of Patients on Unit: cardiac telemetry, post cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
• Personality Fit: flexible & easygoing, teamwork-oriented
Dress Code:
• Any unacceptable attire: Open toe shoes. T-shirts with logos.
26 weeks preferred, 13 accepted; 48 hours preferred, 36 accepted
