Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license

Additional Information

Additional Details:

Must have recent experience at a Level One Trauma Facility.

Please note that should you receive an offer for this position, you will have 48 hours to accept/decline.

Must be willing to fulfill a full 13 week contract.

Candidates should expect to work 2-3 of the 4 Summer Holidays (Memorial Day, Juneteenth, July 4th, and Labor Day).

Any RTO should be provided at time of submission to be considered.

(Progressive/Acute) unit

Must have 2 yrs med-surg tele experience, preferred oncology experienc

Must have availability to work some of the summer holidays.

Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: 4-6 shifts/6 weeks

Orientation Hours: 36

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics

Daily Census: 31

Patient Diagnoses: Surgical oncology- any solid tumor including the management of the disease and symptom management. Including ENT- head and neck

Will consider if candidate is strong w/o travel. Call not usually required. Blocked Scheduling acceptable.

Compliance requirements:Must pass EKG Onboarding exam, Math exam, Med/Pharmacology exam, Progressive Care Competency exam, Oncology Competency exam, Progressive Care skills, Oncology skills, CORE exams

RTO - must be presented at time of submission. Any time off sent after the offer will not be approved.

Return Staff Policy: Gone for 90 days to return as traveler

License Hits: University of Kentucky WILL NOT accept any licensure hits.
